Cooking class at Restaurant in Mendoza City
Looking to elevate your senses? In this culinary experience in the heart of the city you will learn the techniques that give flavor to our culture.
Mendoza is characterized by a wide variety of restaurants that pair the best wines with original dishes made with regional ingredients.
This exclusive tour will start early in the afternoon. A SAK driver will pick you up at your accommodation and take you to a renowned restaurant. Upon arrival, the chef and his team will open the kitchen doors to discover the secrets of regional food. For 3 hours we will learn about the genuine flavors of Argentina and the province.
We will start by kneading our own bread. Then we will learn how to make the typical “empanadas” from Mendoza. We will be given tips to assemble the “repulgue” and create tasty fillings with meat, onion, egg, olives and spices. Once the empanadas are ready, and after tasting an excellent malbec, we will put them in the oven and continue cooking the main course. The menu varies according to the season, the chef will always prioritize the freshness and quality of the food. Emphasizing the flavor of the organic, it can be an elaborate dish or an exquisite roast that reflects the spirit of signature cuisine. We will learn the cooking times of each ingredient, the best combination of flavors and how to prepare the dressing that will give it the distinctive touch. Finally, we will cook the Creole dessert with characteristic products that combine sweet and salty, generating a perfect marriage of flavors.
After finishing the class it is time to enjoy the food we made. We will sit at a table with a preferential location to toast the dishes we created with our own hands. In a quiet and relaxed atmosphere we will be able to taste the best wines of the area and experience unique flavors and aromas.
At nightfall we will return to the hotel and you can pass by Aristides Street, a bar area, where you can enjoy a few drinks before going to rest.
Did you know that regional gastronomy is a fusion of Creole, the customs and traditions of immigrants and indigenous foods? This combination creates delicious typical dishes.
