Cooking class at Andeluna Winery in North Uco Valley
We will travel to the Andeluna winery, in the Uco Valley, where we will blend regional ingredients in an Argentinean cooking class at the foot of the majestic Andes Mountains.
The department of Tupungato is located 75 km from the city of Mendoza. This area is characterized by its groves, the irrigation ditches and canals through which water flows and the vineyards that line the roads and welcome renowned wineries from all over the world.
Early in the morning our driver and will pick you up at your accommodation. Travel time to Andeluna Winery will be a little over 1 hour. While enjoying the scenery along the way we will learn about the wine and gastronomic history of Mendoza.
Upon arrival at our destination we will be greeted by the chef and the restaurant staff with a glass of an exquisite wine selected for us. Before starting the class we will learn about the history of the place, the origin of its name and we will visit the production area and the vineyards.
Afterwards we will be guided to the winery’s organic vegetable garden, where we will carefully select natural ingredients that we will use in the kitchen. It’s time to put on our aprons and start our cooking class! For 2 and a half hours we will be in charge of making the menu of the day. It varies according to the time of the year, but all the dishes you will make will have their Argentinean essence, including the “empanadas criollas”. The chef will guide us and share his secrets to make the food delicious.
Throughout the class we will try new flavors while tasting different varietals from the winery. Once the steps are finished we will sit at a table with a privileged location to savor what we cooked and pair each dish with an elegant Andeluna wine.
We will return to the city with a heart full of joy for having lived a unique culinary experience in an unforgettable setting. When you return home you will be able to surprise your friends with a signature dinner with Argentine flavors.
At SAK Wine & Travel we design each experience in tune with the care and respect for nature and local communities.
