Mendoza Argentina active week – 6 days Package
Day 1 – Welcome Mendoza
Arrive to Mendoza, reception at the bus station or airport and transfer to the selected hotel.
Day 2 – Winemaker for one day
In this experience, we will learn basic aspects of an enologist’s job that will allow us to make our own wine. It begins with a technical tour so we learn about the different grapevines. After that, we can work in teams or simply ourselves. Through guided work we will experience and enjoy blending to create a new sample wine and a label afterwords.
At the end, each participant will present their wine to a jury in the most creative and convincing way as possible.
The winners will receive a surprise prize!
Regional/Gourmet lunch, paired with the most outstanding wines of the winery will be enjoyed at this place.
Day 3 – Visiting 3 Wineries by Bike in Chacras de Coria Region
Chacras de Coria and Vistalba are small villages located in the region of Lujan de Cuyo. Half an hour away from Mendoza City, this area boasts beautiful country houses in between tree lined roads, wine cellars and ancient vineyards along which we bike the friendly Wine Road of Lujan de Cuyo.
Led by local guides, and after taking our bikes and helmets we start our tour. We will visit two world-class vineyards and wineries. Walking around their facilities we will experience different ways of wine making. We will learn the steps to taste a good Wine and at the end of the ride, we will savour a gourmet lunch paired with the best wines of the region.
Day 4 – Visit to the High Andes and Trekking Quebrada del Durazno
Along this journey by the emblematic Route 7 and Mendoza river, we will see the most beautiful mountains of Mendoza. We’ll enjoy the colorful transicion of landescapes, as well as the highlight places and small villages like Cacheuta, Potrerillos with its water reservoir, Uspallata, Penitentes Ski Resort and “The Bridge of Inca”, an incredible natural formation!
We will go through the three mountain ranges: Pre Andes, the Front range and the Main range while noticing how the natural ravines we see used to be part of the Inca Trail also used by indigenous people.
Upon arrival to Aconcagua Provincial park, in Horcones Valley we will have the chance to go on a 2 hours trekking to Quebrada del Durazno, or go on a short interpretative trail to the scenic lookout (45 min).
While hikking, we’ll connect with this unique natural environment framed by the magestic Aconcagua Mount, the highest of America with 6962 masl / 22.000 fts .
At the end, it is time to go back to enjoy a late regional lunch in Uspallata Valley.
Day 5 – Cooking class experience at a Mendoza winery
On this experience you can be part of a great cooking class at one of the best known wineries of the region. We will be guided by a friendly and knowledgeable chef, who will show us different gastronomical techniques used in our province, as well as local ingredients. For about 2 to 3 hours we will learn the most genuine Argentinean tastes while cooking. The wine pairing with different varietals is a must of this tour. By the end of the class we will enjoy great lunch made with all that we cooked!
Day 6 – Leave Mendoza Argentina.
According to your departure time described above you will be taken to the airport or bus station.
