Mendoza and its history city tour
In this economic tour we will get to know the origins of Mendoza. A tour through the city that knew how to cradle freedom long before being recognized as the World Wine Capital. Discover its history, myths and all its splendor in this trip to the past.
Located at the foot of the Andes, Mendoza is characterized by its groves, its ancient irrigation ditches and its squares. Its rich history and valuable cultural heritage will take us through paths of freedom and dreams of a great city.
We will start this experience together with a group of tourists with whom you will learn all about Mendoza. We will meet at a central point and from there we will depart. On the way to the historical center our guide will tell us about the origins of this wonderful city. Upon arrival we will visit the Pedro del Castillo Square, the Museum of the Foundational Area and the Franciscan Ruins. We will learn about the foundations of Mendoza’s society, the original methods of water collection and the influence of earthquakes on urban development.
With valuable historical information we will head towards the new part of the city. Among picturesque streets and groves we will arrive at Independencia Square, the main square of the Capital. Then we will visit the 4 squares that surround it, the most representative buildings and we will get lost among the aromas and regional flavors of the historic Central Market.
It is time to set off towards the milestones of the liberating heroic deed. First we will visit the Memorial de la Bandera. The next destination will be the Cerro de la Gloria, where we will learn more about the exploits of the Great Captain. But first we will take a tour of the imposing green lung of the city, the San Martin Park. We will be amazed by the beauty of its gates, the lush vegetation and the fountains surrounding the lake. Then we will start climbing the road that will take us to the Andes Army Monument. There we will discover every detail of this incredible sculpture. We will have time to take pictures of the city from the top and see the Frank Romero Day Greek Theater, where the traditional Grape Harvest Festival takes place.
On the way back, the whole group will get off at the same place of departure with the happiness of knowing a little more of Mendoza.
The greatest value of this experience, without a doubt, is the historical value.
