Day 1 – Welcome Mendoza
Arrive to Mendoza, reception at the bus station or airport and transfer to the selected hotel.
Day 2 – Biking from historical Mendoza to Chacras de Coria with lunch
Mendoza is a city designed to be traveled in a simple and friendly way, that’s why you can discover the streets, squares, buildings and outstanding places through a bicycle tour.
Taking our bikes we’ll ride around the Plaza Independencia, the central of five squares that make up the urban layout of the city. You will also visit the San Martín General Park. This sport is an important green space from the 19th century because of its size.
It currently covers 17kms of roads and 82 hectares of green spaces plus 307 hectares cultivated. The most trained, will have the opportunity climb to Monument to General San Martin on top and then make the descent of Cerro de la Gloria. Finally we’ll go to Chacras de Coria through the Cyclo-tracks where we will enjoy a Gourmet Lunch in the Clos de Chacras Winery. At the end of the Mendoza city bike tour, we’ll return by vehicle to your hotel in downtown. Then, we’ll pick up the bikes, so you don’t have to ride after some wine drinking! See more details
Day 3 – Altos Limpios and native community. Argentina traditions highlight!
The Argentina traditions package goes on leaving early in the morning. We will leave northeast 120km on the the way to Lavalle department. There, we’ll visit a Huarpe family who will host us during the day.
Previously, we’ll head towards to the Telteca Natural and Cultural Reserve. Once there, we’ll observe aspects native flora and fauna. The reserve protects autochthon carob tree forests and the bridlife of the area.
A few kilometers forward, we’ll visit the Altos Limpios where we’ll go hiking the dunes from where we’ll get to appreciate this particular landscape. Next, the Native reservation La Asunción will be our next stop, where we’ll visit one of the Huarpe’s families.
They are going to prepare a special lunch for us to taste homemade empanadas, bread, meat and goat cooked in the outside oven. Also, we’ll share a nice day and learn about the family´s recipes and customs
In addition, we will go for a walk inside the community. They will offer us a handcrafts workshop of loom and learn the different techniques used by the community. At the end of the Native reservations tour, you’ll taste “sopaipillas” a typical bread of the region. Finally, return to Mendoza in the late afternoon. See more details
Day 4 – Leave Mendoza
According to your departure time described above you will be taken to the airport or bus station.
