Did you imagine how the winery architecture, art and design condition the winemaking? Since the late 90s important wineries decided to come to Mendoza and start developing new wine region. They built impressive wineries that show the best architecture exponents of the province. In addition, they have also opened as private art galleries in some of them. This gave space to local and international artists to be part of the world of wine.
Winery architecture. Outstanding modern and classic designs
Lujan de Cuyo, Maipu and Uco are the three most productive areas of Mendoza. Lujan is a vast region nearby the Andes, rounded by ancient water channels that contain an extensive area planted with vineyards.
Before now, Mendoza’s cellars ceased being simple spaces to make wine. Investors from all over the world, saw in Mendoza a potential destination to start their winemaking businesses, with vision of future.
Large reservoirs of water for irrigation transformed into beautiful lagoons with plenty of birdlife and fishes. As a consequence, when you go across the city, you can observe green spaces and leafy groves that march with the transformed spaces the wineries created.
Then, we will visit three totally different wineries. Not only to appreciate the unique architectural designs but also to have a great wine experience. At every winery we’ll visit all the spaces where, in particular you’ll get to see the unique character. After that, we will enjoy a great gourmet lunch matched with some of the best Mendoza Malbecs.
The winery architecture, art and design combine to achieve the sensorial impact waking up our senses.
