Aconcagua Argentina tour. Christ redeemer and best landscapes
This tour takes place along the Route 7 and the Mendoza river. Also, we will see the most beautiful mountains of Mendoza. We’ll enjoy the colourful landscapes, as well as the highlighted places and small villages like Cacheuta, Potrerillos with its water reservoir. Finally, we’ll stop by Uspallata, Penitentes Ski Resort and “The Bridge of Inca” an incredible natural formation.
We will go through the three mountain ranges. First the pre Andes, then the Frontal range and the Main range at the end of the road. On this tour, you will see the natural ravines that used to be part of the Inca Trail.
Upon arrival to Aconcagua Argentina Provincial park in Horcones Valley we go on a short interpretative trail (45 min) to the scenic lookout with wonderful views of the of the Valley and the the Aconcagua Mountain, the highest of America with 6962 masl / 22.000 fts .
After this, we go westwards, passing the border village of Las Cuevas and going higher, through the slopes of Santa Elena Mountain. In the Boundries of Chile and Argentina, Crist The Redeemer Monument Stands as a simbol of Peace and Brotherhood in between the two countries.
On our way back we stop by Uspallata village, to have some time for a late lunch. Return to the city in the late afternoon.
