Mendoza adventure holiday – 6 Days
Day 1 – Welcome Mendoza
Arrive to Mendoza, reception at the bus station or airport and transfer to the selected hotel.
Day 2 – Bike wine tour. Visit 2 of the best wineries
Chacras de Coria and Vistalba are small villages located in the region of Lujan de Cuyo. We leave from Mendoza City way to Chacras de Coria where we’ll start biking. Once we are there, we’ll see how this area boasts beautiful country houses in between tree lined roads. Starting with our tour, wine cellars and ancient vineyards will apear along the wine road which we bike the friendly Wine Road of Lujan de Cuyo.
Led by local guides, and after picking our bikes and helmets we start our tour. We will visit two world-class vineyards and wineries. Walking around their facilities we will experience different ways of wine making. We’ll learn the steps to taste a good Wine. See more details
Day 3 – High Andes with trekking to Quebrada del Durazno. Adventure holiday highlight!
The adventure holiday goes on taking us along the emblematic Route 7 and Mendoza river. During the day, we’ll discover the most beautiful mountains of Mendoza, Not only we’ll enjoy the colourful transition of landscapes, but also small villages like Cacheuta, Potrerillos with its water reservoir, Uspallata and Penitentes. Of course we’ll pass by Ski Resort and “The Bridge of Inca”, known for the incredible natural formation!
We will go through the three mountain ranges: Pre Andes, the Front range and the Main range. From the road we’ll observe how the natural ravines used used by indigenous people are still the best way to cross the Andes. Upon arrival to Aconcagua Provincial park, in Horcones Valley we will have the chance to go on a 2 hours hiking to Quebrada del Durazno, or go on a short interpretative trail to the scenic lookout (45 min).
The Aconcagua hiking tour connects us with this unique natural environment framed by the majestic Aconcagua Mount. After this, we start the way back. On the return, we’ll have time for a lunch in Uspallata Valley. Return to the city in the afternoon. See more details
Day 4 – Mendoza horseback riding at Quebrada del Cóndor – Potrerillos
In the morning we will go southwest for about 1:45 hours journey to reach La Quebrada del Cóndor (Condor Canyon) in Potrerillos.
This tour offers a 2/4-hours horseback riding through the different mountain trails shaped by native animals and people living in small settlements in the mountains nearby. Obviously, they are our gauchos, locally named “baqueanos”. Of course, they are amazing horse riders. We’ll go on a horseback to enjoy the spectacular and natural environment at the Cordillera de los Andes while we come to know and learn about the nature, geology, traditions and history of the region.
Back in the Ranch or “Puesto” we will have a nice “Asado” that we’ll share with the local family. Return to Mendoza in the evening. See more details
Day 5 – Rafting in the Mendoza River and Adrenaline Canopy (Zip-lining)
In the morning we will go south-west on the way to Potrerillos lake 45´away from Mendoza city.
Then, We will head Mendoza River, framed by the Front Mountain Range of the Andes.
We will start one of the greatest experiences in Mendoza on our guided rafting along the rapids of the Andes. The adventure will go for around 1 hour (12 km) and rapids are level 3/3+. We recommend to take this tour from October to May due to the weather conditions and temperatures.
After rafting, time will be at leisure to enjoy our base. Then, you will be able to have lunch at the buffet at the foothills of El Plata Range. Later, in the afternoon, you’ll take the ziplining circuit formed by 6 stretches across the river. After some technical and safety tips, we will put our equipment on to trek up to the starting point of this amazing zip-line. We’ll cross Mendoza river from one side to the other with the canopy to complete adrenaline the circuit.
At the end of the adventure, return to Mendoza city. See more details
Day 6 – Leave Mendoza. End of the Adventure holiday in Mendoza.
According to your departure time described above you will be taken to the airport or bus station.
